Dr. Roman Nation, M.D.

Dr. Roman Nation is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician who practices a unique style of comprehensive medicine. He has served in the US Air Force as an astronautical engineer and a family medicine physician. Dr. Nation is a University of Southern California graduate with a degree in aerospace engineering. He spent 6 years in the US Air Force as a satellite and test engineer before going to medical school at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. He completed a Family Medicine Residency at Travis AFB, CA, and has lived in Panama City since 2007. Dr. Nation encourages patients to take control of their health and their health care. He has a strong background in traditional family medicine and has been pursuing studies with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (www.a4m.org) to provide a very personalized blend of classic and newer therapies. He wants patients to live as healthy and happy as possible.

Chasity Sisson, FNP

Chasity Sisson is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a Mississippi native and relocated to Florida with her family in 2019. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2005 and went on to obtain a Master’s of Science in Nursing at the University of Tennessee in 2007. Chasity has experience in family medicine, community health, weight management, and aesthetic services. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys at the beach.

Heather Hunter, APRN

Heather Hunter is a Family Nurse Practitioner who strives to help others. Heather is an Apalachicola native and she graduated from Gulf Coast State College in 2018 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain University in 2021. She has experience practicing in primary care, internal medicine, urgent care, and occupational medicine. Heather’s goal is to provide excellent care to her patients, and continue to help aspiring nurses obtain their goals. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son.

Ashley Collins Brown, PA-C

Ashley Collins Brown, PA-C is a physician assistant who joined our team at Nation’s Best in July 2022.

Ashley graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Florida State University in 2012 and completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University- Jacksonville in 2016. She has experience practicing in internal medicine, urgent care, and occupational medicine.

Ashley grew up in Gulf Breeze, FL. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing soccer, and traveling.

Scott Sullivan, PA-C

Scott Sullivan is a Physician Assistant who serves as the Nation’s Best Health Care Occupational Medicine provider. He is an Army veteran, who relocated permanently to Panama City Beach in 2016. He received a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2002, a Master of Physician Assistant Studies in Family Medicine in 2003, a separate Master of Advanced Physician Studies in Sports Medicine in 2006, an Orthopedic Surgical PA Fellowship in 2006, and a Doctorate of Medical Science in 2020. He is a multi-specialty PA with experience in military combat trauma medicine, aviation medicine, emergency medicine, family medicine, sports medicine, orthopedics, and occupational medicine. In his free time, Scott enjoys days on the beach, traveling to unplanned places, arts, live music, and chocolate.

Robert Binard is a Nurse Practioner providing Urgent Care at Nation’s Best Family Health Care.

Charly Barker, FNP

Charly Barker is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She was born and raised in Panama City, Florida. She obtained her Master’s of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain University in Chicago where she specialized in Family Medicine. She has experience in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine where she has cared for patients in the outpatient and hospital. Charly’s critical care experience extended to the Intensive Care Unit where she worked for many years as a critical care registered nurse.

Apart from providing the best care possible to her all of her patients, she loves spending time with her husband, five kids, and three birds.

Cathrine Kearns, LCSW

Cathrine is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a strong background in trauma, bereavement, and marriage and family problems. She holds a Masters’s degree in Counseling and Psychology and a Masters in Social Work. Cathrine has over 20 years in the field and also has over 20 years of teaching experience. She believes that therapy is a collaborative process where the therapist and client work together as a team to meet goals. In Cathrine’s spare time, she enjoys reading, exercising, and watching college sports.
